Somerset county 4-h Association fundraiser

Plain wreaths - $20

Decorated wreaths (red ribbon and 3 pinecones) - $25

The Somerset County 4-H Association is excited to kick off our annual Wreath Fundraiser! This is a wonderful opportunity to support our mission of supporting the 4-H Youth Development Program of Somerset County by providing an annual educational Fair to showcase work 4-H members have completed; a building where many 4-H events are conducted; and volunteer and monetary support to 4-H youth, clubs, programs and events.

Payment Options

Payments can be made via cash or check made payable to Somerset County 4-H Association. Your club contact person should collect all payments for wreaths sold and hand the payments to the wreath committee on the money collection dates.

Admission is $10; Children 5 years old and under are FREE.

Here ye! Here ye! Join Somerset County 4-H Anime & Manga Club as they host the second annual 4-H Medieval Jubilee at the Ted Blum 4-H Center in Bridgewater, NJ.

Artisans’ Market, Food, Demos, Games, Interactive Activities, Silent Auction & More Medieval Fun!

Come in costume! Open to all ages!

Fairy House Contest

All are welcome to particpate! 4-H members, public, youth, adults *No entry fee

*Drop off your creation on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 5-7pm at the Ted Blum 4-H Center

*Will be judged on Sunday, Oct. 25 during the Medieval Jubilee event

*Materials can be wide-ranging, but must be handmade!

ARCHERY CONTEST

Prove thy prowess in a contest of archery to discern who reigneth supreme at the 1st annual OTA Medieval Archery Tournament

Three Age Groups

Kids ages 9 to 13 - Teens ages 14 to 18 - Adults 19 and over

Traditional Recurve or Longbow only - No Sights or Accessories allowed

Equipment available if needed - Spaces Limited to 16 Archers per group

***Weather Permitting*** Practice starting at 1:00 PM - Competition Starting at 2:00 PM

Bird Conservation Through Creativity Workshop

What is it? A public art workshop that crowd-sources the handcrafting of birds and draws attention to window collisions - a major cause of bird deaths in the United States. 
Participants will learn about the species of bird they are creating while discovering simple actions they can take to prevent future collisions.

How does it work? Participants will be given a bird base, fabric, and a bio of a bird species. Finished birds will be tagged with the artist’s name and donated to the project.

Who is it for? Anyone interested in birds, conservation, or crafting! Appropriate for ages 10 and up.

Youth in grades 1–5 will explore animal science and agriculture through exciting hands-on workshops, farm activities, and farm tours!

Learn about our free to join 60+ clubs for youth between Kindergarten and 13th Grade (1 year out of high school). All clubs meet monthly from about September - June/July and then all the youth’s hard work is celebrated at our annual 4-H Fair!


Are you looking to volunteer?

Our clubs are run by caring adult volunteers. We always need passionate people to help us run clubs or start new ones. Volunteers are 21 and older and go through an onboarding process.

  • We will take almost everything  -  DVD, Toys, Clothes, Holiday Items, Kitchen items, Bedding, Tools, Sports items, Books, Small Furniture, Electronics, Pet Items, Office Items, etc.  😊
