4-H Camp at Rutgers Gardens

Embrace nature, create community, learn from experts, make new friends, and play outside at 4-H Camp at Rutgers Gardens.

New Jersey’s 70-year-old 4-H Camp program is joining with Rutgers Gardens to offer an exciting new Day Camp experience for Summer 2023. The program will combine the social/emotional learning of 4-H Camp’s friendly, communal, tech-free experience with the beautiful environment and educational opportunities of Rutgers Gardens.

4-H Camp at Rutgers Gardens is offering four sessions throughout the month of July for children ages 6 to 14.

2024 Schedule

Mini-Session One - Flora Festival: July 1st - July 3rd

Session Two - Fantastic Fauna: July 8th - July 12th

Session Three - Flora Festival: July 15th - July 19th

Session Four - Fantastic Fauna: July 22nd - July 26th

9am-4pm

Drop-off windows will run between 9:00-9:30am,

and Pick-up between 3:30-4:00pm.

Session One runs Monday through Wednesday.

Sessions Two, Three, and Four run Monday through Friday.

Limited spaces available.

4-H Animal Science Career Night is a free hybrid event that offers a wide variety of animal science career exploration opportunities including Marine Biology, K9 Unit Dog Training, Veterinarian Science, Dog Daycare Handler and Zookeeping.

4-H Animal Science Career night will be held on November 16th, 6-8pm for 4-H members grades 7th-13th.

Children Helping Children - Presented by 4-H Senior Council

October 14th, 2023, from 10 PM - 4 PM-

Somerset County 4-H Senior Council will be hosting a children’s charity craft fair to benefit the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. It will be held at the Ted Blum 4-H Center at 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater.

 

The Children Helping Children Fair is where children bring their homemade items and use booths to sell them to the people who come. Profits will go towards the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. These funds will go into research, equipment, and anything else the hospitals need.

 

Somerset County 4-H Senior Council is a teen run club that focuses on community service projects throughout the year. The goals of the event are not just focused on helping a non-profit but also to have those who participate as vendors develop their communication and entrepreneurial skills.

 REGISTRATION TO BE A VENDOR IS REQUIRED. SCAN THE QR CODE TO JOIN.
