4-H members in grades 6-8 are invited to attend this leadership conference. You will have fun, meet new friends and develop leadership and personal development skills that you can utilize in school, in your 4-H club, and in your community.

The Discover the Leader in You! 4-H Leadership Conference is for 4-H members in grades 6-8. While attending the conference, middle school youth will have fun, meet new friends, and develop leadership and personal development skills that they can utilize at home, in school, in their 4-H club, and in their community.

[POSTPONED] NJ 4-H State Model Horse Show
The New Jersey 4‑H Model Horse show is an educational event for those who enjoy collecting, photographing and showing model horses. This event is especially accommodating for 4‑H'ers who do not have horses or cannot physically work around live horses.
Daughters of the American Revolution: Fashion Design Contest
With both a Junior and Senior category, this contest is open to the public with awards being presented on both the local and state level.

Middlesex and Ocean Counties are sponsoring a "New Year - Better You" 4-H program and we would like to invite your 4-H program to participate in the HANDS Challenge in honor of the MLK Day.
Photo Corps: What I See - Submissions Wanted
Your photography shows how you see the world. Your photos can capture what you see through your lens. Your photos can also reflect what you see through your imagination. What do you see? Let your photo tell the story!

New Jersey 4-H: Ask a Scientist: Public Health and Nursing
Participate in another great online opportunity to meet and ask questions of scientists! The focus for this event will be on medical professionals with a diverse background ranging from nursing to biological sciences. Speakers include Dr. Brian Buckley, Dr. Linda Flynn, and Dr. Mark Robson.

Focused on fun, interactive games - join the Somerset County 4-H Association Teen Committee for their monthly Virtual Teen Social. Open to teens in grades 6-12, this is a great way to meet new people and make some friends while playing games both online and on your phone.

Somerset County 4-H: DIY Science
Put on your lab coats and get ready for some do-it-yourself science! Join us on January 26th from 3 to 4pm on Zoom where we’ll be exploring the wild world of hands-on science. In this fully interactive event, get ready to engage your brain with exciting experiments and creative activities.

Somerset County 4-H: Get Moving with MyPlate
Children will learn how to build healthy eating habits using the MyPlate icon. Through interactive activities, song and story children review each food group while discussing the importance of making good food choice and engage in simple exercises to get their body moving.

Daughters of the American Revolution: Fashion Design
Any wearable garment may be entered in this local and state contest. There are two age categories: 13 and below, and 14 to 21. Most entries are likely to come from 4-H this year, so please consider entering. The deadline to enter is January 15, 2021.
PREP New Year Party
Aimed at youth in grades K-4 but open to everyone, join Somerset County 4-H on January 12th with games, dancing, magic, and lots of confetti! This is going to be an unforgettable night for all who join and will be a celebration of fun and 4-H.

New Jersey 4-H: Understanding Our Implicit Bias
This one-hour workshop on inclusive peer engagement, creates a dedicated space for teens to reflect on their personal implicit bias and discover practices of debiasing. This workshop will be interactive with peer discussion, polling activities and break-out groups.
Species on the Edge: Art & Essay Contest
The Species on the Edge Art & Essay Contest empowers 5th grade students to advocate for an endangered or threatened species from New Jersey through a well-researched, creative essay and original art piece.
