Somerset County 4-H Chinese Culture Club Celebrates the Year of the Tiger with Raritan Valley Chinese School

Written by Jennifer Korneski, 4-H Healthy Living Program Coordinator

Students, families and special guests of Raritan Valley Chinese School (RVCS) and the Somerset County 4-H Chinese Culture Club gathered on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the Ted Blum 4-H Center in Bridgewater, in celebration of the Year of the Tiger and the school’s 40th Anniversary.

The joyful event celebrated the students’ achievements, teachers’ dedication and family support in maintaining learning of the Mandarin language and Chinese culture over a challenging two-year Covid-19 pandemic.

Special guest, Jill Brochinsky, 4-H Staff Liaison to the club, welcomed everyone and shared gratitude to the club’s service to 4-H and the community. Currently, there are 27 registered youth members of the club. Club leaders, Sabrina Liu, Shu Haiao, and Shy Chang, planned a day-long event filled with recognition, engaging performances, and great company.

Happy New Year and Happy 40th Anniversary to RVCS!
