Somerset County 4-H Clubs Spread Holiday Cheer
Somerset County 4-H Clubs Spread Holiday Cheer
This past December, several Somerset County 4-H clubs were busy spreading holiday cheer!
People Pick Me Ups donated 70 toiletry bags, 3 bags of slippers and blankets, and gave out 50 greeting cards during their visit to the V.A. hospital. This club regularly visits nursing homes with their pets to bring joy and smiles to others.
Members of Woolly Ones (sheep club) made over 100 desserts to donate to the annual 4-H Community Holiday Dinner in which free meals were packed up and distributed on Christmas Day.
The 4-H Outdoor Club, a new club for children in grades 3 - 7, helped a child with their winter service project by making cheerful cards that were delivered to residents and staff at a local rehabilitation center.
The 4-H Radio Control Car Club took some time from driving their cars to sign holiday cards which were delivered to local veterans.
We are proud of the many ways our 4-H members give back to the community.
