Calling all 4-H volunteers, leaders, parents, and supporters,

The Community Holiday Dinner for 2021 will once again be take out to play it safe. Last year the take out dinner was a big hit thanks to everyone who made it happen. It went very smoothly and was a lot of fun! We will be serving meat or vegetarian lasagna. I already put into Wegman's for frozen lasagnas like last year so hopefully that will happen again. The following is a list of donations we are requesting:

  • Frozen lasagna, meat or meatless (If we get the Ok from Wegman's I will send out a revision, but we can never have enough lasagna)

  • canned veggies, corn, carrots, sting beans, peas (we have no carry over veggies from last year)

  • Butter pats, individually wrapped

  • dinner rolls, bread

  • Most of all lots of deserts. We always have an abundance of yummy deserts, but we make sure they all go, and the guests always comment on how wonderful they are (packaged or Frozen will be good)

  • Candy

  • Paper products; utensils, plates, take out clam shells.

The refrigerator and freezer will be available for any products that need to be kept cold or frozen. You can drop off any time at the Somerset County 4-H building between the hours of 9am -3pm and 6pm-8pm Monday through Friday until December 23rd. I will be there most of the day on the 24th to unfreeze and cook the lasagna so you can drop off on that day too. Any questions regarding donations or drop-off can contact the Somerset county 4-H office at 908-526-6644 or email Sue MacCombie at susar@rcn.com.

Thanks for your help!
