CRAFTacular Day was Spectacular

CRAFTacular Day was Spectacular

Posted by Jennifer Korneski, 4-H Program Coordinator

The first ever 4-H CRAFTacular Day was held at the 4-H Center Saturday, October 15, 2022. Children in grades K-3, with the help of fourteen adult/teen 4-H volunteers, participated in a morning full of craft workshops.

Using recycled materials, the children made a wide variety of creations such as robots, space stations with aliens, and trick-or-treat baskets. Other workshops included foam picture frames where participants watched their picture develop instantly, beaded jewelry, take home magic, and paper bag puppets with performances in the puppet theater.

In addition, children made jack-o-lantern decorations which were donated to a local assisted living facility to bring Halloween cheer to the residents. The event concluded with Show & Tell and a 4-H Info Session to encourage more children to join 4-H.

Thank you Jill Brochinsky, Somerset County 4-H Prep/Cloverbud Program Coordinator, for creating such a fun day!
