Somerset County 4-H Shines at 2025 State 4-H Dog Show

The State 4-H Dog Show was held on June 14, 2025 at the Somerset County 4-H Center and hosted by the NJ 4-H Dog PAC with support from Woof 4-H Dog Club. 

30 youth representing 7 counties participated in various competitive and non-competitive events including Obedience, Junior Showmanship, Rally, Agility, Seeing Eye, K-9 Arts, Trick Dog, Canine Good Citizen, and Grooming. New this year, a Seeing Eye youth member gave a public presentation on what it takes to raise a future guide dog and youth participated in a self-guided dog quiz game created by Sharon Toth (Hunterdon County). 

Somerset County 4-H was well represented at the show, and we would like to extend our congratulations and recognition to Maya Patel, Bree Reese, Liam Cuddeback, Annalise Gaudet, Lex Gaudet, Angelina Basilone, Kiera Zimnoch, Rhoda Trey, Maya Furst, Camila Yat, Lily van Sleeuwen, Leah Heisler, and Justin Heisler.
