Attendance
The Association meets regularly on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Ted Bum 4‐H Center, 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater, NJ to discuss operating and maintaining the 4‐H Center, organizing the 4‐H Fair, supporting the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office of Somerset County and the 4‐H Program. Members should plan to attend all meetings and ask questions, voice opinions and get to know the other members; working toward compromise for the good of the organization. (There are no meetings in June and December. Meetings in January, May, and July begin with special receptions for new members, scholarship recipients and Outstanding 4‐H’ers.)
Committees
Committee work is the heart of the 4‐H Association. All responsibilities, projects and events are handled by committee. Members are asked to participate on at least one Standing committee and one Fair committee. Committees are expected to function in an atmosphere of cooperative team work.
Events
In addition to specific committee work, members are encouraged to attend, and if possible help at, all 4‐H Association events and some program related events. Support for each other and the organization as a whole is vital to success.
Fundraisers
All members should buy and sell Wreaths and Ads for the 4‐H Yearbook and Catalog and help at other events and participate in other activities.
Promoting 4-H
All members are encouraged to promote 4‐H in their communities and establish relationships with community leaders, businesses and other organizations.
Liaison to 4‐H: Association members should convey information and questions to and from clubs, members, leaders, and parents and encourage them to support Association functions and events.
