Somerset County 4-H Clubs That's Sew Crafty and Furry Friends Win Multiple Honors in the J.A.C. Contest

The group community service entry of That’s Sew Crafty and Furry Friends in the 2024-2025 J.A.C. (Junior American Citizen) contest has won first place on the chapter level, state level, and in the Eastern Division. (NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, DC).

Club members gathered donations of over 130 Christmas tree ornaments, and presented to members of the Manville Seniors. Additionally, club members went to All American Assisted Living in Hillsborough, N.J., where they presented ornaments to the executive director to decorate the trees in the building, and performed carols for 100 senior citizens.

Entries are judged by category and grade level. All first-place winners in the Eastern Division advance to the National Finals.
