Somerset County 4-H Clubs Celebrate 2023 Achievements

Somerset County 4-H Clubs Celebrate Achievements

Written by Jennifer Korneski, 4-H Healthy Living Program Coordinator

November was a month to give thanks to our amazing 4-H leaders and club members for all they contribute to our program and for sharing their time and talents with our community.

The Arts & Science Achievement dinner, hosted by the Clover Ensemble, was held on Friday, 11/3, the Livestock Achievement dinner, hosted by the Branchburg, Beef, Dairy & Livestock Club, was held Saturday, 11/4 and the Dog Achievement brunch was held Sunday, 11/19.

Members and leaders were honored for years of participation and members were recognized with county projects pins, which honors outstanding members on a county-wide basis through leader nominations. Congratulations to all recipients!

Special thanks to Karen Hughes, Somerset Hills Kennel Club President and her standard schnauzer Toby, for speaking to the dog clubs about her experiences in dog therapy and to the families of the Arts & Science clubs for their generous donation of over 100 lbs of food and candy for the Feeding Hands of Hillsborough and Raritan Food Pantry.
